Re-conditionedHerbert Terry 1227 Anglepoise Desk Lamp. Designed in the 1930's by George Carwardine and manufactured by Herbert Terry & Sons, Redditch, England between the late 1930's until the 1960's. The Anglepoise is now a design classic. This stunning lamp has been re-conditioned to a very high standard, it has been completely stripped, polished and parts chromed, rewired with a new bulb holder and chrome bakelite switch. The lamp is being sold in superb condition. The shade is in excellent condition with no dents or dings. This lamp has been sympathetically restored by a local craftsman who has been reconditioning lamps for the past 25 years and will grace any desk or home. This is one of the earlier anglepoise lamps as it has the rimmed shade so dates from late 1930's to early 1950's. It has highly polished aluminium arms and shade, metal fittings- no plastic ones, chromed 2 step base and original springs. The underside of the base has the original green baize. Fully extended this lamp is approximately a metre tall. Please see photos for overall condition. This lamp will work on USA 110 volts and European 220/240 volts.
