The Fisherman and the Magic Fish was created from a true Palekh lacquer original painted in extreme detailsolely for this edition by Master Artist Lopatin. This plate is producedin layers of pigment and gold in an edition limited to a maximum of 195firing days.Bradex No. 60-V25-1.5 The only English words are at the bottom of the backstamp: Art object, not for food use. The Fisherman and the Magic Fish was created from a true Palekh lacquer original by Master Artist NikolaiPavlovich Lopatin and is produced in layers of pigment and gold on hard-fireporcelain in an edition to be halted after a maximum of 195 firing days. But despite the richness of her robes,the opulence of her surroundings, she is. . .and will always be. . .a hateful old fish wife.
