POSTCARD: ‘MISS WINIFRED BARNES’ SIZE: 3 ½” x5 ½” ERA: c1915 COUNTRY: UK: Rotary Photo, London E.C. DETAILS OF REVERSE: Excellent with neat ink-written message: presumably this card was posted in an envelope. With ‘THIS IS A HAND-PAINTED REAL PHOTOGRAPH OF A BRITISH BEAUTY, MISS WINIFRED BARNES’ CONDITION: Excellent, subtly coloured photo of an extremely pretty girl Winifred Barnes was born 18th December 1892 - London (England) & died 1935 She was educated at the Convent of Notre Dame (Oxford?). She debuted in a minor role in "Our Miss Gibbs" at the Gaiety in 1909.
