(please note: with any refinished club there may be some flaws that we can not remove) They have NOT touched a golf ball since being refinished in XXX Black Oxide!!!!!!! This Super Rare One-of-a-Kind Wedge are being offered for a limited time and there will only be a few wedges of each style made. Intelligent Design Series Wedge Treatment · Our first step in the process is to mill (port) 2 holes in the back of the club muscle, raising the center of gravity. This moves the sweet spot to the center of the club, just where it should be, giving your ball a lower more penetrating flight with a piercing trajectory and adding more control. · Second, we painstakingly mill the individual grooves in each wedge, then finish by milling the wedge face to achieve nearly 100 percent of the groove specification allowed by the U.S.G.A. This gives your ball more spin than any other wedge in golf. · Finally, we apply the finish, either an Oil Can Finish (Black Oxide) that will slowly rust over time, or our Satin Tour, a reduced glare satin chrome finish. We then complete the process by paint filling in All American Red, White and Blue. · When this process is completed, you now have a beautiful wedge that produces a slightly lower, more penetrating ball flight with a piercing trajectory and 15 to 20 percent more spin just like a Tour Pro!!! · Our wedges are specifically designed for the more aggressive player who likes to go flag-hunting. Anything Mizuno is top-notch, and this stands out as one of their best products ever offered. So what is Black Oxide? Black Oxide is a natural reaction of the metal with the Black Oxide Bath . An oil post-treatment will help give a shiny finish.. Black Oxide adds about 5 to 10 millionths of an inch to the dimension of a part. It also penetrates to an approximate depth of 5 to 10 millionths of an inch. As far as the durability on all our Black Oxide finishes, they are all equally the same and in time they will wear. Many factors are involved such as how well you play, do you take a large divots or small divots, if the course is heavily fertilized, and if the person wipes down the clubs after use and applies oil on the irons. The heads should never be left damp. The Black Oxide Advantage The main thing to realize is by going to our Black Oxide finish the advantage is that the club will feel softer. This allows for better all around control, mainly through the increased feel (or you can play with a harder ball if you want to and still keep the original feel).
