Up for auction is a signed Boatman's Bank of Kansas City MasterCard credit card (expired in July, 1996), once owned by Major League Baseball Hall of Famer George Brett. I obtained the credit card several years ago from a friend who was a salesman at a Kansas City metro furniture store where Brett made a furniture purchase in August of 1996. Brett had realized while making his purchase, that he had a recently expired card in his billfold and tried unsuccessfully to quickly scissor cut it. (C ard is held together by uncut area by the first number 0 in the card # .) He instead gave the card to the salesman who threw it away into the trash but later retrieved it. The credit card once had scotch tape that the salesman attached in his attempt to make sure the card didn't separate. The tape is no longer attached but a few small spots of tape residue is located near the edge at the top and bottom center edge of the credit card, but is insignificant as far as visually affecting the signature or Brett's card info on front or the card overall. Good luck bidding on an extremely rare item from one of the greatest clutch hitters of all time, and the only Major League player in baseball history to win the batting title in three different decades! **NOTE: I took George Brett's MasterCard to the 2012 ALL*STAR FanFest in Kansas City in July 2012 read more
