I offer a really well made model cannon of solid brass (possibly gun-metal) and oak. This model is of the type of cannon usually found on the battlements of castles. The cannon is 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) long and 3.25 inches (8 cm) high and 3 inches (7.5 Cm) wide. The cannon is made of solid brass (possibly gun metal) as are the fittings on either side which hold the cannon to the carriage. The chassis of the cannon is made of strips of solid oak, similar in shape to a one sided pyramid. The wheels are also of carved oak with brass fixings. There is a brass plate at the rear of the cannon held to the chassis with brass bolts. There is a brass ring set into this plate. It looks solid and is quite heavy due to the materials used. This cannon has quite a bit of age to it as it has been in the family for many years, where it has been on display. This is great for a collector or an item for the home or office that will be an excellent talking point. I start the bidding a low level and allow you to decide the final value. There is no reserve.
