THE MAYFLOWER In 1620, the Mayflower transported 102 Pilgrims in very crowded conditions from Plymouth , England , to what was later to be called Plymouth Colony , Massachusetts . It left Plymouth on September 6 , and dropped anchor near Cape Cod on November 11 and later Plymouth w the colony was established. The Mayflower later returned to England and today t is a replica of the Mayflower in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
