Double your traffic. Modern Art Glass CRYSTAL ASHTRAY Daum France Up for bid is a brilliant clear crystal ashtray bowl by Daum. It has a fluid shape and modern design. There is a cigarette rest on two "side points" - this is somewhat subtle and not particularly obvious. The underside is marked (etched in side along lower edge): Daum France. Piece measures 5" side to side and is 4" front to back at top edge. Smooth base is only 2 1/8" across at the widest part. Condition: Piece is without chips, cracks, nicks or dings. There is no scratching or other forms of surface wear. A fun piece for those who enjoy modern art glass and finely crafted crystal. ( I do not know the precise age of this piece but guess it dates from mid 20th century. My research indicates that it was after WWII that Daum began to focus its artistic energies on clear brilliant lead crystal including blown vessels such as this piece. Interestingly their designs descended from the Daum Christalerie de Nancy work of the 1920s.) SHIPPING INSIDE US: We do not charge a fixed rate for shipping.
