Modern Brewery Magazine – February 1935 – Conover-Mast Publication – East Stroudsburg , Pa. This issue has 92 pages of historical photos, articles and advertising from the brewing and related industries. The cover asks the question “Can Brewers Stand Prosperity?” It goes on to say, “A nationally know publisher said to an important government official, “When you give some brewers an inch they take a mile.” In the March 1935 issue of the same magazine, which is in another of my listings with eBay, there is a letter on page 74, from Frederick C. Zobel, addressing that statement. The Editorial asks, Are You Paying for Idle Time”. “Hornung Looks Ahead” is a nice article about the Jacob Hornung Brewing Co. of Philadelphia with 3 photos. One of these shows the front of the plant with “Home of White Bock” above the entrance and a White Bock Café sign next door. “Schaefer’s All-Star Radio Party” was broadcast over 8 New York radio staions from the F & M Schaefer Brewing Co.
