In my opinion, the Carolina Herrera Cissy doll is one of the very prettiest of the modern Cissy dolls. Love those brown eyes! This one is from my personal collection and has been dressed for display in a 1940s-style suit (fully lined) with peplum jacket and A-line skirt with inverted front pleat. This outfit was created by Harmony Lane Studio (H.L.S.) and is labeled as shown in the last picture. According to the designer-seamstress, the fabric was from a man's suit; the print trim from a man's tie. Although the fabric has the appearance of wool (to me), it is obviously 100% silk. Darling style for Cissy. The skirt closes on the side with two snaps and has a waistband. The jacket has two snaps under a row of tiny gold buttons and a velvet bow with long streamers. There is a hat of the same fabric as the suit (which will be included), but I chose to use the black velvet bandeau with black feathers, which was made by doll milliner Maison Michelle and bears her label. It is trimmed with black braid and has a tiny bow resting above the down-turned feathers. It will sit on the doll's head just fine, or it can be pinned. Under the suit, Cissy wears a fancy black bra and pantyhose with a lace upper.
