Modified Webcam for Astronomical photography Comprises a Philips ToUcam Pro (PCVC 840K) webcam, modified with a Mogg adapter replacing the standard lens, and a Baader UV/IR filter attached to protect the CCD chip. All items are boxed and in excellent condition. By placing the modified webcam into a standard telescope 1.25 inch eyepiece holder, and plugging the USB cable into a PC or laptop, this webcam allows you to capture AVI format movies of the Moon or larger planets (e.g. Jupiter and Saturn). Stills can then easily be extracted from these AVI files using widely-available frame-grabbing software (not included). See photographs I have taken of the moon using this equipment on a 102mm mak telescope. This webcam comes with its original lens, (so it can be used as a standard webcam again if required), webcam stand, and Philips USB Webcam driver and other software on a CD. PLEASE NOTE !
