From movie to movie, Universal Studios' Frankenstein Monster flipped between being a tortured but mostly good guy (who occasionally, accidentally murdered little girls) to a flat-out villain. Plainly, when Aurora envisioned the creature as part of its short-lived Monster Scenes line of kits in the mid-1970s, it wanted the villainous Frankie, ready to grab The Victim from the woods and carry her to the merciless Dr. Deadly. Moebius Models has given monster-model fans lots to grin about in the last few years, and this reissue of Aurora's classic Monster Scenes snap-together model kit, Frankenstein, is no exception. The 1/13 scale monster, once a hard-to-find artifact from the 20th century, is now widely available for hobbyists. As Aurora used to advertise (before angry parents picketed the company's headquarters), the Monster Scenes kits are "Rated X ... for Excitement!" The model is brand new, shrink-wrapped and in great shape.Buyers are welcome to pay with M.O. With regrets, I have ceased offering to sell items outside the United States through eBay until I see proof of how the new rate structure for sellers works.
