Recorder making centres were Paris, London, Amsterdam, Nuremberg and Brussels. Friedrich von Huene subjected almost all original instruments of this period extant in museums to detailed inspection. These data taken together and based on instruments by Jean-Hyacinth-Joseph-Rottenburgh, The MOECK Rottenburgh baroque recorders at modern pitch were conceived. They are today's most-played baroque solo recorders and proved to be particularly reliable. A special feature is their brillant upper register. Ebony- diospyros perrieri / Properties: hard and dense, elegant clear tones / Origin: Tropical West-Africa, Ghana to Gabun CONDITION: This recorder comes from a smokefree environment The tone is as good as you would expect from an instrument of this quality.The recorder has a very clear and beautiful sound in high and low notes.
