Moldavites are a form of molten glass, formed by a meteorite explosion 14 mill years ago ,the fall out created pieces of green glass which fell back to earth over the area of Southern Czech Republic ,they are not found in any other country in the world which make them so rare and unique . Please be careful of fake Moldavites coming from Asia they are not easy to recognise by someone who has never possesed one but basically they are glass and treated sometimes with acid and a dentist drill they make them look similar to real Moldavites but they are lighter in weight and very light green ?all I can say is that my moldavites come directly from the ground to you and are not passed along many hands if you want I can leave them matted with the sand/soil in which they were found ?, but usually I will clean them in a ultra sonic cleaner which is able to get the sand out of very narrow ridges which prevents them from being damaged by doing this by hand ,if you have any questions regarding moldavites I will be very glad to help you .
