Monroe Salt Works Mug in the Crow on Corn Pattern. I acquired this plate directly from Maine and was purchased as new. The mug is marked Monroe Salt Works, Monroe Maine. It has a 3" opening and is 3 1/8" T. Will be glad to answer any questions. Each mug has its own unique quality which may show as slight imperfections. Rare unique color to the surface. This mug is very rustic looking inside and out. Because the firing of this pottery is dynamic the surface of each piece has many variables, so no two pieces are ever the same. Some will receive heavy glaze, some light. One piece will be reduced and come out dark, another oxidized and come out light. As you can see this is the case in these photos. A t Monroe Salt Works the variation in their pottery was exactly what they wanted. No two pieces are uniform. You can see the mark of the firing on each individual piece. Each piece has its very own character. They are new condition but have variations in color, texture and feel. Please check the many web sites that can further explain their unique quality. The company is now closed and no longer producing pottery. Anyone who knows Monroe Salt Works pottery will appreciate the quality of these items. Will combine Shipping and Thank you for Looking!
