Thanks for visting my auctions. Saved from construction destruction ! Offered this week from the days of the Dinosaurs is this super monster 10- inch , approx. 9-1/2-lbs. , Super sweet fossil Ammonite 2 inches thick ! This huge Ammonite is blessed with monster ribs and horns as one can see. (( VeryRare )) Mortoniceras equidistans Grande Ribs and horns for the size! Please see the quarter laid on this Ammonite for horn size comparison. Great show piece! Really huge Horns! This A mmonite comes from the 103+ million year old Fort Worth Fm. of North Texas. Albian Stage, Upper Cretaecous, Tarrant County of Fort Worth Texas which I found with permission. I have signed and listed her provenance on the back. Missing a few Horns and ribs but not bad shape and huge !Made extra photos for you to judge by. Might be some flaking in shipment,which is normal. Beautiful color patterns. Great preparation with great features and sealed the olden way with Shellac! Last photo is how this amazing creature appeared as I was working on it and the huge chuck of rock which I removed in order to make it presentable. Natural colors. Nice first lowwwwww bid request . Great show- n- tell at school ! Super display Ammonite as well signed and prevenaced on the Aperture . Needs a secure home. Normal 100 million year old chips , dings and scars.
