This Nib corresponds to the 139 oversize flattop fountain pens of the 1930's and precedes the later jumbo Diplomat pens. Super Rare Nib. This is a non writing Dummy nib that would have been mounted in a store displat pen. It is not made of gold but is alloy. It does not have a slit nor does it have iridium. It is the only one I’ve seen in 25 years of collecting. It is extremely rare and should reside in a Montblanc collection. If you do not have this nib, don’t pass it up. I don’t think you’ll ever see another. Near Mint Condition, Nib Measures 1 5/8” Long. A word about condition. I generally under assess the condition of the pens I offer, giving it a slightly lower grade, with the idea that the purchaser is pleasantly surprised when the pen is received. I describe all defects that I see but, being human, I may sometimes miss something, but this is rare. This is why I have a 100% guarantee and the pen may be returned for any reason. I will refund postage and your postage back to me, if the pen was mis-described or I missed something but will not refund postage if you are returning the pen for subjective reasons or buyer’s remorse.
