A Monumental Empire Giltwood and Peinte Pier Mirror, early 19th c., the molded frieze with classical and Napoleonic motifs including anthemia, beaded medallions and winged caryatid busts; the original divided mirror within a wide foliate and floral molding, the gilded pilasters featuring foliate scrolled capitals centered by swans, stop fluted and blocked at the base, height 99 in., width 64 1/2 in.
