Artist : MOONDOG Title : “Moondog” Label : PRESTIGE. Monaural deep-groove first pressing on thick vinyl, with flat edge. Catalog number is PRLP 7042. Label address is 446 W. 50 th ST., N.Y.C. “Ear symbol” is stamped in deadwax. “RVG” and matrix number are etched in the deadwax. Jacket is heavily laminated, kakabuchi “frame” construction. Year : 1956. Condition : DISC : Vinyl is VG++ with full original gloss. Has been played a small number of times and handled with care. There are several faint marks that produce very soft tics in a couple places, but no loud Plays very enjoyably with superb fidelity. Labels are clean, with a small tear near the spindle hole on Side A. A very fine playing copy of this rarity. JACKET : Jacket is nice VG+ with no major problems. Front artwork is clean and bright. Bottom seam and spine are excellent. Top seam is nice except for a couple very tiny chips. Reverse has darkened a bit with age and has some spotting in several places and an oil stain near the center (see photo). No writing or stickers. Overall a very presentable jacket to accompany the nice sounding disc.
