MOORE'S CORNER, MASS. BEFORE THE FIRE" and "MOORE'S CORNER, MASS. AFTER THE FIRE" are outstanding Real Photo postcards, which depict Moore's Corner berfore and after a fire which leveled a building near the center of the view. Moore's Corner is in Leverett MA, between North Leverett and Dudleyville. These cards are postally unused, have divided backs and Cyko stamp boxes, and are in VG+ condion, with light edge/corner wear, a few minor bends (not creases), and slightly dingy, esp. on the backs. The "before" image appears to have been taken in the summer or autumn; by the time the "after" photo was taken, the trees had lost their leaves and snow had fallen. How many village RPs even show snow? More than just telling the story of a house fire, these cards are outstanding Bird's Eye Views (BEVs) of the center of a picturesque village which did not produce many postcards. In other words, this is a rare pair of RPPCs which tell an interesting little story about a tiny village, now almost forgotten.This pair might be KEY to Moore's Corner and even area collectors.
