Moreau This real beautiful three piece museum piece of an absolutely rare French Moreau chimney clock is in complete original and excellent condition. WHOW....Look at the pictures, they tell you more than words. We are absolutely sure, you can´t put your eyes from this wonderful drumming boy as an Amor sculpture !! It´s very very hard to find such a clock like this one, and you can be sure that this clock is an absolutely high worth collecting piece !! This large and heavy figural clock ensemble is everyw an absolutely eye catcher that you will never get again. Everything is in absolutely perfect shape, and in complete original condition. The cast metal ( spelter ) scene, and the urns are mounted on the original marble basements. Everything is in excellent condition. Nothing is missing or broken, t are no overpaintings at the metal figural scene, or at the urns. It´s all in this original condition, just like it was manufactured about 1890! Look at the fine cast figure of " AMOR " Amor with his little wings is nearly naked, and he is drumming on his drum, with his two drum sticks. It´s absolutely fantastic, and Moreau is well known for such high excellent high quality sculptures. This casting could only make a real artist and master of the cast handicraft. We have never seen such a little Drumming boy like Amor, from the artist Moreau. A small metal plate tells: " ENFANT AU TAMBOUR Par L.F. Moreau " Translated in English: " Child with the drum from L.F.Moreau " As already said, nothing is missing or broken, everything is in complete original condition, and t are no overpaintings !! Behind a fire gilded bronze perl-lynet with vaulted facet cut glass you see the fine original enamel dial with arabic numbers, and wonderful hand painted floral motives. The dial is in near mint condition, only a small chip near the fine regulation above the 12 tells you the age. This is not visible when the lynet is closed. The original rare shaped hands are made of fire gilded bronze. The original French movement is sighned, and was completely overhauled and cleaned by our master clockmaker. It works absolute perfect with the replaced pendulum. It chimes with a lovely sound the half and the full hours ( hours will be counted ) on the original silver-bronze bell. The movement is covered by a gilded brass lynet with glass. You see this only by very high quality clocks from Moreau. A key belongs to the clock. The two urns are also in excellent condition, and they belong to the clock. You can be sure, this is not a marriage as often offered by eBay. We think this clock st is a clock ensemble that you don´t miss for your exclusive home. We are sure that everybody will be enviously when he sees this French Moreau set in your exclusive home !
