MORRISONITE ROUGH MATERIAL, BAKERS DOZEN, GORGEOUS PCS. This auction is for a Bakers Dozen...13 pieces of solid and colorful Morrisonite from Oregon. These 13 cutouts or preforms are from Davids personal stash and some of them are my very favorite color/scenic patterns offered in Morrisonite. In fact, I really wanted to take a few pieces out but, well.....we are always taught to share....so we are. He hand selected these pieces to give you a GREAT selection of color and patterns and even the most discriminating lover of Morrisonite will find these pieces to be of superior high grade. This parcel weighs 198 grams and they are between 5.5 and 8mm thick so each one is 'good to go' as far as cab cutting is concerned. These pieces are small enough so no saw is needed and you would have to buy a ton of rough material to obtain this many outstanding examples of what we, and most people, consider the FINEST of all jaspers...... HAPPY CUTTING. All of our rough material is photographed wet to simulate the final polish. INFORMATION Material: Morrisonite Size: various Total Weight: 198 grams 28grams = 1 ounce Gemologists have categorized 5 different jaspers to be the Top Fine Jaspers of the World. Those 5 jaspers are Bruneau, Willow Creek, Blue Mountain, all of the Imperial Jaspers, and Morrisonite. Most of these five are also porcelain jaspers which means the final polish is as bright and glossy as fine china would be after it has been fired. Of these 5 Fine Jaspers, Morrisonite is unequaled, unrivaled and unmatchable for its depth, hues of colors, unique patterns and incredible scenic beauty .In these patterns you will often see lush forests, tree limbs, waterfalls, and bamboo streamers in olives, teals, mints, celery, forest green, windsor green, reds, tans, golds, browns, umbers and siennas. To our knowledge, the Morrisonite digs have been closed since the 1960's w it was often found on the east slope of the Owyhee River Canyon in Oregon and from the Jordan Valley which is on the NE Oregon/SW Idaho border. We allow 7 days of shopping so that shipping fees may be combined. If you have purchased multiple items please wait or ask for an invoice so you do not pay excess shipping fees. We prefer PayPal but will accept personal checks and money orders. Your item may be held until check clears. We charge $2.25 for First Class shipping of cabochons and many little cabs can fit into the same bubble pack envelope. For rough material or agate items out of our ebay store we charge a beginning rate of $5.25 for Priority Mail for up to 1 pound of weight. If you have purchased multiple items please email us for the correct shipping fees. If you have many items we will use the Flat Rate Box for $9.70 and we can combine rough material and cabochons. Insurance is optional and begins at $1.65 and goes up according to final purchase price. International sales of cabochons to Canada are $3.00 and elsew $3.50. These fees may be adjusted after final packaging. Insurance is not offered for international sales. For International sales of rough material please contact us for the correct shipping fees which will be calculated after we have packaged your item(s). If for any reason you are not satisfied with the item you receive we will gladly give you a refund, provided the item is returned in the exact condition it was mailed to you. Any returns must be received by us within 7 days of your receipt....after that all sales are final.
