Offeredhere for auction is a beautiful original rare oil painting on card, by the Lithuanian born Jewish Israeli artist Moshe Chauski. Signed on the bottom right corner by the artist in Hebrew and in Latin. This painting depicts a woman sitting surrounded by mountains landscape. This painting measures 10 cm x 14.50 cm ( 3.94” x 5.71” ), framed measures 34 cm x 40 cm ( 13.39” x 15.75” ). This oil painting is in good condition. The wooden magnificent gold leaf frame is original to the painting, especially made for this work. This in a one-of-a-kind original painting by one of Israel ’s most famous artists. This is not a print, facsimile or any kind of mechanical reproduction. It is identical to the painting that has been photographed for this auction. For those knowledgeable art collectors, this Chauski oil painting represents a rare opportunity to acquire an early work of this master Israeli artist. Biography: Moshe Chauski (b. 1935) Born in Lithuania , Chauski studied at the Vilna Academy . He received the first prize for young artists in 1953. He immigrated to Israel in 1959 and taught art and worked as portraitist for the daily newspaper Yediot Ahranot.
