A novelization of the suspenseful Emlyn Williams stage play about a young woman who slowly learns the identity of a brutal killer terrorizing the countryside. First filmed in 1937, this is a movie tie-in to the 1964 remake, with a photo of Albert Finney on the back cover. Stated First Printing. Very scarce. Condition is Good. Shelfwear with random scratches and wrinkles to covers and some rubbing to their edges and ends of spine, moderate age discoloration to white surface of back cover and spine, single very faint wrinkle to spine and tiny chip to its crown, former owner’s name in ink at top of inside front cover, tear to top corner of first page, some internal tanning.
