This is a Missouri Pacific Railroad "State Flowers" service plate made by Syracuse China from 1929 to the late 1940's. These plates are rare to find and even harder to find one in this nice of a condition. You will find this plate in Dick Luckins book on pg. 193 MP-11. The plate features a repoduction of William Harnden Fosters painting "The Sunshine Special" in the center and the state flower of all 11 states served by the MP around the edge. T are 2 versions of this plate...one with Missouri at the top and one with Texas at the top. This one, with Texas at the top is the more rare of the two. This one also has a personal note stuck to the back. Thanks for looking...
