Book displays minor signs of use or age —one or two edge tears, some pages showing their age a bit — consistent with a printed object of this vintage. All viii preliminary pages + 376 pp (magazine) + (unpaginated 1858 Almanack) + 352 pp (magazine) + (unpaginated 1859 Almanack) appear complete and otherwise correct. � Included among the material we find contemporary accounts of Victorian prisons … � … Mormons … � and also, Beeton's early recipes … … often lurking around the instructions for making contemporary clothes … As we can see from the contents page [below] of the 1858 Almanac,� Beeton began to realise the importance of his wife's recipes and tips for running the household … Samuel Beeton, publisher of popular books and magazines, married Isabella at Epsom in July 1856 , and
