Hello fellow Ebayers! Here is another magnificently weathered locomotive by Weathered Works #119,,, This is for all of you 3 Railers out there, designed and painted to look as real as possible, let the pictures do the talking! Up for bid is 1 Brand New 3 Rail O Scale MTH item #20-2823-1 w/Proto Sound 2.0 and Hi Rail wheels CP Rail Canadian Pacific GE ES44AC Locomotive #8729. Here is a Locomotive that is being built as fast as GE can build them, the ES4400 "Gevo", probably one of the most popular locomotives of today! This is the latest CP scheme without the "golden rodent". I gave this one the usual grunge, as seen for coal service, it even has the typical coffee stains down each side of the cab from the crew throwing it out the windows! This Locomotive was disassembled, then it was completely faded, rusted & weathered, the couplers were left clean so not to inhibit the auto coupler mechanism, the trucks were disassembled, the wheels were painted, the trucks were weathered inside and out, and then it was reassembled. Comes with a 2 person crew. I am very impressed with the detail MTH did on these locos, I have brass Gevos and when you set them side by side, they are very close in details as well as placement of the various components. If it wasn't for the swinging pilots and huge couplers you almost wouldn't be able to tell the difference, very nice MTH!! The detail and sound on these MTH Locomotives is incredible. This is a brand new locomotive that was taken out of the box and completely hand weathered to create a very realistic looking locomotive that seems like it has seen many years of use on the railroad. The weathering is a combination of various techniques of airbrushing, artists colours, acrylics, chalks, and has many layers of colour to give it more depth. It was Dullcoated so as not to ruin it's finish when handling and so as not to leave anything on your hands. Every car and locomotive is tested before being shipped to be in correct operating order. Each car/locomotive has an engraved plate with a serial number that is individual to itself and will not be duplicated. It will be great as a display unit or on a layout.
