The XK-6 Xtreme Keys is a sleek keyboard version of E-mu's Xtreme Lead 1 sound module and XL-7 desktop module.The XK-6 comes with the Xtreme Lead-1's 32 MB "X-Lead" soundset which include techno basses,synth leads, pads, dance drumkits, vocal stabs, hits, analog synths, DJ scratches, etc. Additional E-mu expansion ROM soundsets can be added up to 128 MB. The keyboard is a full 61-keys long with 16 real-time controllers. There's also 16 on-board syncable/programmable arpeggiators and the Xtreme Lead's Super BEATS interactive Groove Mode. With 16 mute/enable buttons this keyboard is set for live and on the fly performances with plenty of real-time controls. Like the Xtreme Lead, the XK-6 has 64 voices. The XK-6 also features multi-mode resonant filters and 24-bit DACs.Also included is the 32MB Composer expansion ROM, an 8-bank soundset that includes excellent string, wind, key, percussion, pianos and more.It serves as an excellent organic companion to the more electronic suited XK-6.Package includes: power cord, owner's manual, and utilities disks.The keyboard is fully functional and is in good cosmetic shape with only has a very few light scratches underneath from being moved around.Recently, I had the rotary encoder (control jog wheel) replaced by a professional, ensuring that the controls function properly.
