Here is a very nice mule deer cape! It measures 7.75 inches eye-to-nose; 21+ inches at the base of the ears; and a few inches down the measurement is 23 inches. Please refer to the photo that shows where we measure our capes and keep in mind that it is for example only and is not the cape that is up for sale. The other two photos are of the cape for auction. We pull our capes taut to take measurements.This is a great looking cape with good ears and nice dark color. And it is cut extra-long if you have a pedestal mount in mind. It will make a super mount! Please use the photos to determine the usefulness for your project. Cape prep and tanning are the foundation of a quality mount. If your skills are a little rusty or you are a beginner, we have the name of a tannery that will salt, turn and tan the cape and have it back to you in approx. 90 days. If you are the winning bidder and want this information, let me know. The cape is frozen - not salted or turned - and will be shipped frozen . Winning bidder pays $15.00 for ground shipping. If you live outside the Midwest or in a warm climate, we recommend 2 day shipping (at buyer's expense). Please ask about express charges before bidding.
