These pair of new old stock Mullard EL34/6CA7 tubes are offered for your consideration. I am cleaning out the remaining odds and ends from my tube collection and they can be yours at a great price. Be sure to look over this auction carefully before bidding because all sales are final!! I was given this pair of wonderful tubes in the early 1980s and never put them into service. They are stamped "Made in Great Britain," and based upon the manufacture codes, were made by Mullard at Blackburn. See photo 4 for details. Each tube has the big plastic base, dual getter halos at the top of the plate structure, and a hole in the bottom of the locating key. Each tube was tested for transconductance, bias voltage and screen grid (G2) current draw using a TM101 Tube Matcher (not for sale!). The TM101 runs the tubes under typical operating conditions (pentode, 450V plate, 450V screen, 50 mA cathode current). Included with the tubes is a test sheet showing the transconductance in microsiemens (uS) and bias voltage. See photo 4. Microsiemens is an international unit which replaced the micromho, which is obsolete. For comparison purposes, you’ll find the average values and calculated reject values for an EL34/6CA7 at the bottom of the test sheet. As you can see the tubes are not especially well matched, but this won't be a problem in HiFi amplifiers read more
