Murano A. Barbini Mid Century Gold Aventurine Blown Art Glass Fish 8.25".Murano A. Barbini Mid Century Gold Aventurine Blown Art Glass Fish 9.5". Condition is "Used".Vintage Barbini Italian Aventurine glass fish from the 1940-50's. It is Sommerso cased glass with 22K gold aventurine inclusions. They glow and sparkle in certain lighting, complimenting the form of this swimming fish. This piece stands 8.25" high on an applied molded base. The eyes are applied clear bullseyes. The condition is excellent. There is a chip where the under fin is missing. But is doesn't take away this art piece has. It does have a rough spot where the base was fused to the fish during creation, and is not an issue. The gold aventurine glass is cased in green glass creating a very optical effect. This is a stunning piece with a lot of movement in the design.Please look at all photos carefully. I took photos of missing fin.
