This auction is presented by an Art Collector who for the first time in 25 years is making available a limited number of rare, beautiful and highly desirable investment quality decorative art objects. is a wonderful 1960's vintage Venetian multicolored glass mushroom sculpture produced on the island of Murano , near Venice, Italy. Similar pieces can be seen in the excellent book 'Italian Glass' by Leslie Pina, on page 220. This sculpture consists of three mushrooms mounted onto a jet black base and was produced in a stunning combination of rich opaque colors which were then encased in clear glass! A fabulous item, in a wonderful organic form, it catches the light beautifully. This beautiful Murano mushroom from the sixties is an extremely fine example of the Italian glassblower's artistry and will make an excellent display piece. The original red and gold foil label states "HAND MADE GENUINE VENETIAN GLASS-VETRO ARTISTICO VENEZIANO-MADE IN MURANO ITALY". The mushroom is 4" tall, 4-3/4" wide at it's widest point and has a 2-1/2" diameter base. It's in superb condition with absolutely no chips, scratches, scuffs or repairs.
