MURANO VENETIAN GLASS LIQUOR DECANTER GOLD FLORAL SET Description Here is a Murano Glass Liquor Decanter Set. The set consists of Hand Blown Hand Painted Floral and Gold Leaf Decanter (8 1/2") with hand blown, ground glass stopper (4") , plus 6 glasses (each 2 1/4"). There is a paper tag on one of the glasses identifying it as "Murano Sent Made in Italy". These sets are so beautiful, however, this one is exceptionally fine, in gorgeous condition. (I held my breath as the family unpacked Grandma's glassware at this sale.) To my delight, out of the wrapping paper came this set. It is Amethyst glass, the gold leaf is as if brand new-the flowers and leaves are three-dimensional, setting off the beauty of the overall design. Each dot, each swirl of gold leaf is stunning and as you enjoy the set, you marvel at the Venetian Glass at its finest, for surely these Decanter sets tell of the History of Murano Glass as well as any piece of Art glass ever to come out of Italy.
