Museum Quality Antique (18th-19th Century) Hand-Carved Wooden CrucifixFor sale is a wonderful and very very rare crucifix made from wood (I believe some kind of fruit wood). Looking at the detailed carving, this crucifix must date from the first part of the 19th century maybe earlier. The Christ figure is very delicately hand-carved. Please take the time and have a look at the many detailed pictures and get overwelmed by the superb quality. The wooden cross measures 50cm in height and 27cm in width, the Christ figure measures 19cm in height and 14cm wide. I noticed a chip from the wood at one side of the Christ (see picture) and a bit of damage to the top of the cross (see picture). Both are not disturbing at all. Weight about 160g.
