I am a long time multiblade slipjoint pocket knife collector and member of the Oregon Knife Collector's Association. is an absolutely gorgeous vintage congress pattern knife with mother of pearl (MOP) handles that is quite rare and in near mint condition. I would say it is in "mint" condition, except that I have carried this knife on a few occasions and I have carefully sharpened it on a Spyderco Tri-angle Sharpmaker. Other than the fact that the blades are razor sharp, you can't tell that they have been sharpened. I am extremely careful with my knives, and to most people, this would be a full mint condition knife. Research indicates that this knife was made somew between the late 1960's and the early 1970's (source: Knife World). The knife measures slightly over 3-3/4 inches long (blades closed). Each of the four carbon steel blades is marked on one side with "Lipschutz Solingen Germany" and on the other side with "Mutt" and a sitting dog logo. Each blade has long pulls, half stops, and both sides of the top are partially swag cut relieved so that the blades nest together well. The blades have great "walk and talk", opening and closing with proper snap and authority. The mother of pearl is flawless (no nicks, cracks, or splits) and has a depth of coloring that the photos cannot convey well. I will ship only to United States addresses. read more
