It has been in a studio rack for about 2 years and used on the road for a short time. Other than a small patch of rash, it is in great cosmetic condition. When I first purchased this unit, I was surprised to find that the VU meter did not light up, making it hard to see. After making a few calls, it was determined that this is just how it was designed so as to keep manufacturing costs down. I have to believe them, and the truth is I have never seen another Nady TMP-3 in action, so who's to say? Light or no light, this is an excellent piece of equipment.
