Offered today is a very nice USAF dress uniform that came from the estate of Col. John Vignetti. The Colonel flew B-24s for the 454th Bomb Group, then flew in Korea and was a staff officer with SAC in Vietnam. I haven't researched this group other than what I have posted. More research could prove quite interesting! The uniform is in good solid condition. The ribbons are awesome and have been custom made. The wings are clutch back NS Meyer from the 60s and are NOT the current repops that are out t The wings have a great patina to them. T is some fading to the collar of the uniform and the garrison cap isn't in the greatest of shape. The pants are in good condition. All in all, I think it is a great uniform and one that has definitely "been t". Included with the uniform are 2 original 8X10 crew photos showing the Colonel (then Lt.) with his crew in front of his B-24. 2 original photos showing B-24s in flight, one original strike photo from a mission flown by the 454th BG and one 8X10 autographed photo of a USAF General (not shown). Please ask ALL questions before bidding. Shipping will be determined after the auction, but be rest assured that I only charge what it actually costs to ship the item. No B.S. packing, material or other hidden fees. I'm not out to make a buck on shipping! Thanks!
