Namiki Maki-e Golden Pheasants fountain pen with 14kt Fine nib. The Taka Maki-e is applied by the Kokokai artisan cooperative to the lustrous black lacquer body. The wonderful thing about Japanese lacquer is its extreme durability. These pens can be used for many years and still show little sign of use. This pen, besides being beautiful, is a great writer. Having a Japanese nib, it lays down a smooth line closer to extra fine than fine. The pen has been inked and it is kept protected in its box. It is is in pristine condition and comes in its original wooden box along with all paperwork, CON-70 converter, and original unused ink cartridge.
