Pilot Sterling Silver 925 18kt Art Craft Fountain Pen Japan traditional Okinawa lattice structure design Fountain Pen 100% authentic and comes from the company brand new with full pack and papers As regards the use of the term sterling to describe silver, we can mention that a trademark was utilized in England as early as 1300 to distinguished items in silver of proven quality. Only silver contatining 925 parts of pure metal(92.5%) and 75 parts of coper(7.5%) is called sterling and punched with an official mark. The identification, known as the king's mark, depicted the head of a lion and was called leopart in heraldic French, hence the name 'leopard head'.
