This is a delightful Cognac Brandy ceramic bottle in the form of a book and made by Limoges. With superb iconic imagery of Napoleon himself in red body with gilt highlights throughout.; c 22 cm high X 5.2 deep. The front panel depicts Napoleon standing with crowns around and leaf border decoration. The reverse back side reads "Bi-Centenaire, de, L'empereur Napoleon 1er - 1769-1969" with eagle imperial in a wreath. The spine of the book bottle reads as "Campus - Napoleon, Cognac" with an "N" in wreath and "Campus Cognc" below. The stopper in the top is in the style design of the emperors hat. Small wear from handling as expected mainly to the hat stopper. Otherwise all in VGC. A lovely type and great example. The underside in gilt script states "Production, Limitee, Reservee de Campus Cognac" and "Seue, Co, 0773 01-8". With logo shield around noted name as "Limoges, Castel, France - 22K Gold, Modelle Depose".
