Napoleonic Officer´s Bicorne British Officer´s Court Bicorne A replica of a Court Bicorne for an Officer. This type of bicorne hat was worn specifically at Court or for Full Dress as it folds flat and is easy to carry under the arm or pack away for travel. This replica is made from a pattern taken from an original court bicorne that dates from 1799 and was found in the collection of a County Regiment Museum. It is a light and comfortable hat, it has two ties, in the front and back, that can be used to adjust the tension of the sides of the bicorne and ths keep it in place. Inside it has a satin skull-cap bag, and in the front and back it has a golden tassel. The black cockade is the British Colour the gold lace is fastened with a metal button. Behind the gold lace there is a leather plume holder into which the plume is fitted. It is a tight fit so that it will not fall out. The plume is the standard white over red as used during the Napoleonic Wars and throughout the Victorian age. The bicorne will fit a head size 56cm circumference.
