1897 AR LXI Queen Victoria STERLING SILVER Crown This is probably one of the most awesome examples of a Victoria Crown I have ever seen. The coin has a deep bronze patina with purplish hints that is very even and lustrous. Only the highest points have pure Silver touches where the patina is thinnest. Struck in 925 fine STERLING SILVER Lightly circulated to a VIRTUALLY TOP GRADE obverse with some signs of wear to the reverse Full fine hair to the effigy and all detail to the designs, sharpness reduced by the deep, dense patina; The reverse shows excellent fine detail with some smoothing to St George's chest and other high points A truly awesome dense slightly purplish bronze patina, very even and lustrous; Gallery pics 1, 3 and 4 are pale due to the strong natural light conditions of photography; the second frame, a close-up of the reverse detail, has been darkened to represent, as close as possible, the actual colour Note some small contact marks to the obverse; the coin otherwise is virtually free of marks and scratches, the fields being unusually clear Perfect Circularity; NO edge-knocks, NO bruising, strong rims and sharp lettering Sharp, clear edge inscription * DECUS ET TUTAMEN * ANNO REGNI LXI * Check out narkypoon's other items !
