This is an impressive example of Hopi artistry that comes from the Four Corners/ Tuba City area of Arizona near the third mesa of Hopi Land. This unique, Hopi Indian made Deer Kachina Doll has been captured in a traditional pose. It was made the old fashioned way- hand carved out of genuine cottonwood root! It was masterfully hand painted with traditional designs. The case mask has the traditional look with a white and red design and a pair of antlers. This great Deer Kachina Doll is 16" tall (including the wooden base) and 4" wide. Signed by the Hopi Indian artist Nolan Nasafotie.
