DESCRIPTION: This Native American War Club Ceremonial Dance Club made by John Falcon has beautiful red and white bead work on the wooden handle. Also on the handle are two attached feathers and dark horse hair. The length measures 17 inches and the width of the attached stone is 4.5 inches wide. The weight is 1 pound and 9 ounces. War clubs are the oldest weapons used by humans; many primitive cultures used various war clubs in battle and in ceremonies throughout history. The Native American Indians spent time and labor to choose the right material and craft their individual war clubs according to creative visions. Thus, Indians revered their war clubs with pride and used them in ceremonial rituals and tribal celebrations.
