She is capable of making just about any of the patterns that were from one of the different named weaving areas, which is more for descriptive purposes than to locate geographically. She is a member of the extended family who began this miniature rug project, in 1975. This is one of her larger pictorial miniatures, which can also be described as a pastoral miniature rug, as well. The Navajo are considered to be pastoral people, primarily because they have flocks of sheep and goats, horses, and other domestic animals. Some of them have to move their flocks to other locations, a couple of times each year, which means that they may have more than one hogan to live in.
