Navao Dead Pawn Turquoise Squashblossom Necklace This gorgeous Nickel Silver Turquoise Squashblossom Necklace was pawned by a Native American in Gallup, New Mexico and not redeemed. It features a turquoise Naja, with four gorgeous pomegranate squashes on each side, and it is finished with nickel silver beads. The Najo is set with 17 gorgeous bezel-set turquoise stones and it measures about 3 5/8" high by about 2 3/4" wide at its widest point. Each of the pomegranate turquoise clusters measure about 1 3/4" high by about 1 1/2" across (this is measuring the clusters only, the measurement does not include the silver 'stems'. This necklace is strung on heavy waxed cord, and it is tied in the traditional manner, meaning that it does not have a clasp. The entire necklace measures about 32" around, meaning that it hangs down about 16". The turquoise stones have a golden-colored matrix. T are no markings on this piece. Condition: Excellent. This gorgeous Squashblossom Necklace would have been worn proudly by its owner in ceremonies and on the streets of Gallup. It will make a great addition to a Native American collection.
