Under the tarnish and old paint is a great solid Yellow Brass naval artifact. It's another Sound Powered Head Phone stowage box (salvaged) from the now scrapped Tank Landing ship USS Lorraine County LST-1177. You can polish the yellow brass up beautifully or leave as is. A great conversation piece and a functioning secure lock box to boot. The Navy has not made these of brass in many years. Including back supports, it measures 15" tall x 10" wide X 8" deep; and weighs approx. 16 pounds. Cover ID tags read: TELEPHONE STOWAGE // ALT. 1 TYPE 1 Modern Metal Mfg. Co. N.Y.C. Buyer pays flat $24.50 shipping & insurance (sell & ship in Continental lower 48 States only). Please see other maritime artifacts I've listed. Thanks for looking Shipmates!
