US Navy SEALs deployed to Vietnam in uniforms unsuited for the vicious guerilla war they faced. They were allowed great leeway in their choice of uniforms to wear in the field. The Mitchell pattern camouflage was already being used in helmet covers and shelter halves by regular US troops, and was chosen by many SEALs to wear on operations. Custom made swim shorts and other uniform items (many of which we are currently offering for sale) were made by Okinawan tailors and well known hunting clothing companies in the States. This pair of US Navy Vietnam SEAL UDT Mitchell camo combat swimmer's shorts are in very good to excellent condition, and appear to be of Okinawan manufacture. They are constructed of Mitchell pattern camo shelter quarter material, but the shorts are not reversible, and can only be used with "green side out". They feature a side zipper and are a size Small. A great relic of "Uncle Sam in Vietnam". Bid with confidence and please view our other great military and aviation classics, including an original US Army Vietnam Special Forces SEAL Mitchell camo combat jacket in excellent condition.
