Vintage issue # 123 of Rolling Stone magazine dated December 7, 1972 featuring rock legend Carlos Santana on the cover. Along with the great feature story on Santana by Ben Fong-Torres, there are good reads on Don Kirshner and the ABC TV show In Concert , the death of Allman Brothers band member Berry Oakley, Jefferson Airplane and Grace Slick, duo Ashford & Simpson, perspectives on the just completed reelection of Riochard Nixon (with Watergate right around the corner), the Hippie Mafia with illustrations by Terry Lamb, and computer nerds/hackers and the developing industry of computer games - complete with the code to a very simple, very crude computer game.Album reviews of Miles Davis' On the Corner , Santana's Caravanserai , Black Sabbath's Vol 4 , Harry Chapin's Sniper and Other Love Songs , Mott The Hoople's All The Young Dudes , Ry Cooder's Boomer's Story , Chicago's V , Blood, Sweat & Tears' New Blood and Michael Jackson's Ben and Got To Be There , The Bee Gee's To Whom It May ConcernThere is also tons of vintage advertising and photos of our rock and entertainment icons looking much younger.
