For sale is one vintage GI Joe metal lunchbox, made by thermos in 1982.This box is new and unused. It was originally bought from the store shelf in the 80s and has been in storage ever since. An original factory sticker advertising the enclosed thermos is still attached to the lid of the lunchbox (see photos). This could easily be removed for display purposes if desired.This box is in near mint condition. In fact I would call it mint, if not for one minor detail, the fact that the paint on one surface of the box (the side with the tank on it) has slightly crinkly paint. The box came this way from the factory, it is not damaged in any way. This is too fine a detail to show in the pictures. Even in person you can only see it if you are inspecting the box VERY closely. (You have to inspect the box within about 1 foot from your eyes with the light reflecting off the box at the right angle to see it). If you run your fingers over that surface of the box it is slightly textured.Otherwise, the box is MINT. The paint on all 6 faces is bright, shiny, and colorful, with no wear whatsoever. It has some very fine paint flaws on the rim, as even mint lunchboxes do, but they are extremely minor.
